The Role

In a community post dated October 17, 2025, Joshua Mhlakela announced the logistics of his September 23 rapture livestream:

“The rapture live stream will be called ‘Exodus Livestream 2025’ and it will be hosted on the channel Medic4Christ, here on YouTube.”

Of all the channels in his community, Joshua chose this one to host the event — the moment when, if the prediction was correct, believers would be watching the world as the church departed.

Candance documented what actually happened: “When the time came to pay the piper, he was suddenly reticent. Medic had to badger him to get him on the live. He was full of excuses about technical trouble. He finally showed up, looking like he didn’t want to be there.”

The Apology

After the September 23-24 failure, Michael went silent for six weeks. He then published “The Full Story of Joshua” (November 7, 2025, 33,794 views) — his comprehensive account of what had happened.

His October 22, 2025 community post (1,400 likes) documented the community response to his apology:

“Over the past month I have lost many of my ‘Christian friends’ to this date setting ordeal. Many of the people who in early September were telling me how much they loved me… when that date came and went and I did the right thing and apologized, those same people turned on me and became vicious enemies.

I was gaslit. I was accused of ‘giving up my crown’, losing the faith, being weak, ‘spiritually castrating myself’, being a foolish virgin, not having the Holy Spirit, being a tare.

God does not lie, folks. He didn’t tell this man three different dates and lie three times… I led many astray by getting onboard the Joshua train. I will NOT double and triple down as many have. Enough is enough, folks. We need to heal from this. But we can’t while we double down.”

He also quoted Joshua’s own community post from the period: “The wheat and tares have been divided and Jesus spoke to me (again). He’s coming on October 16/17th (for realz this time).”

The Pivot

His subsequent content documents a theological shift toward grace-based salvation — “Eternal Security,” “The Case Against Lordship Salvation,” “Are We Saved By Repenting Of Sins?” By February 2026 he published “To The False Prophets” (7,119 views).

He was then publicly labelled a “lifetime false teacher” by @Rapture2025Confirmation — not for hosting Joshua’s livestream, but for apologizing after it failed and teaching grace theology. The label was directed at the accountability, not the error.

What the Record Shows

Michael hosted a failed rapture livestream. When the date passed, he apologized publicly and took personal responsibility. He was attacked by the community he had served for doing so. He then spent the following months teaching basic Christian soteriology to a smaller, quieter audience.

His “final word” post received 1,400 likes — more than any single post about the ongoing prediction. The community, even at that point, responded to honest reckoning more than to continued hope.
