Two documented subjects — Joshua Mhlakela (@exodus2025) and Christy Williams Deurloo (@Rapture2025Confirmation) — had independently and publicly committed to June 11 as a terminal proof point for their rapture predictions. Both named the same external event through different theological routes.

The opening match was played. This page documents the record.

What Was Claimed

Joshua Mhlakela (@exodus2025), in his May 14, 2026 community post — the day of his own declared final deadline — attributed the following directly to Jesus:

“THERE WILL BE NO WORLD CUP 2026 FOR LIFE WILL NOT BE BUSINESS AS USUAL FOR THOSE LEFT BEHIND” — Jesus’ Own Words.

He made the claim the centrepiece of his May 15 video “2026 WORLD EVENT WILL SHOCK MANY — B4 SOCCER WORLD CUP”, which generated 3,000 views and 420 likes in 24 hours — his highest engagement since October 2025. This was not a soft prediction or a calculated probability. He stated it as a verbatim quotation from Jesus. If the World Cup begins, the claim is not merely wrong — it is a falsely attributed statement of Jesus, published publicly.

Christy Williams Deurloo (@Rapture2025Confirmation), in a May 17, 2026 community post — three days after Joshua’s own deadline passed in silence:

“The physical rapture of the church occurs before June 11, 2026 at God’s perfect timing.”

This was published while she was actively commenting on other channels. It was not incidental. She independently arrived at the same external deadline through her Exodus 12:2 calendar framework and door-closed theology. Two different prophetic routes. One shared external date.

Why This Claim Is Structurally Different

Every previous failed deadline in the RaptureTok cycle had a built-in escape: calendar corrections, prophesied delays, Hebrew vs. Gregorian discrepancies, the Three Phases framework. These reframes worked because they introduced ambiguity about what the date meant.

The World Cup claim has different structural properties.

It is externally fixed. FIFA set the schedule years in advance. No calendar correction changes June 11. No delay framework applies to a sporting event with a published schedule.

It is universally observable. Every person on earth with internet access can verify whether the opening match was played. There is no room for interpretive ambiguity about the outcome.

Joshua attributed it to Jesus personally. Previous claims were his interpretations of visions or calculations. This one was stated as Jesus’ own words, verbatim.

His community knew the countdown. In the May 15 video comment thread, multiple commenters were already calculating the days remaining. The countdown was public. There was no way to quietly move the deadline.

His own community was already anticipating the question. From the comments on May 15:

June 11, 2026 — What Happened

The 2026 FIFA World Cup opened as scheduled on June 11. Among the opening-day matches was South Africa vs. Mexico — South Africa, Joshua Mhlakela’s and Hlengiwe Mchunu’s home country, lost 0-2. The tournament’s existence and South Africa’s participation in it directly contradict the “THERE WILL BE NO WORLD CUP 2026” statement attributed to Jesus.

Joshua Mhlakela (@exodus2025) — channel activity on June 11–12:

On June 11, Joshua published a short titled “THE END_TRUE PENTECOST RAPTURE DATE 21-22 JUNE” (3.9K views, 148 likes, 239 comments within a day). The description: “This short video has the True Pentecost date _ JUNE 21-22 not 22-23.” This is a refinement of the June 9 pre-emptive pivot documented in The World Cup Claim — the date moves one day earlier, from June 22–23 to June 21–22. There is no acknowledgment in the short or its description that the World Cup proof point has now failed; the video proceeds directly to adjusting the already-pivoted date.

Christy Williams Deurloo (@Rapture2025Confirmation) — channel activity on June 11–12:

No new video or community post as of the June 12 archive capture (most recent post remains June 9). Her stated deadline — “The physical rapture of the church occurs before June 11, 2026 at God’s perfect timing” — has passed without acknowledgment, retraction, or new framing from her channel.

On the external commentary side, both Medic4Christ and Steve Campanelli — long-time figures within or adjacent to this community — used the World Cup’s arrival as the occasion for direct, public statements that the prophecy has failed. Medic4Christ’s framing (“he was already changing his prophecy 2 days before the World Cup even began… that tells me this is a person who is a deceiver”) and Campanelli’s framing (“this is probably the biggest deception I’ve seen in 20 years”) both treat June 11 as a closing argument rather than an open question — see The Broadcaster and The Ecosystem for fuller context on both figures.

June 16, 2026 — Joshua’s Response

Five days after the opening match, Joshua published “REFLECTING ON THE EXODUS 2.0 AND THE WORLD CUP” (18:34, 2.9K views, 415 likes, 312 comments). The video is a formal doctrinal response to the failed proof point, built around three moves:

1. “Exodus 2.0” rebranding. The entire nine-month sequence from September 2025 is named “Exodus 2.0” — a deliberate parallel to Israel’s original exodus, which started on Passover and was completed at Pentecost. June 21-22 is the completion point.

2. The “no trophy” redefinition. From the transcript:

“When God said there will be no World Cup, meaning the trophy 2026, he was saying the feast in the midst of the World Cup will be the final day of the rapture of the church and the world cup would not reach the trophy point.”

This interpretation — that “no World Cup” meant “no trophy presentation” — was not present in the original May 14 community post, the May 15 video, or any prior content. It appears here, after the tournament has begun and the opening match has been played. The falsification standard he set publicly (“THERE WILL BE NO WORLD CUP 2026”) named the tournament, not the final.

3. Three Phases applied to the World Cup’s opening. From the transcript:

“And now with the start of the World Cup, it looks the prophecy looks to be going through the dying phase. And this is when it is about to resurrect to be fulfilled like our Lord rose from the dead.”

The event that was supposed to not exist is now the Dying Phase of a three-act prophetic structure — a required stage before the Resurrection (fulfilment on June 21-22). The community audience had anticipated this exact move: “this June 21-22 dates will pass and joshua will come up with other dates and push it till the finals” (@UrgentTimes-ev8jo, June 11 short comment thread). One viewer in the June 16 thread had already shifted to Fall 2026: “I am watching for a one year Exodus — in the fall.”

The critics — Medic4Christ, Campanelli — are not named. The theological response: “The devil wants people to feel deceived while they are not and all this to steal their crown.”

June 21-22, 2026 — Pentecost

The date arrived and passed. No rapture. No acknowledgment from Joshua’s channel.

Two days later — June 23 — he published a 76-second short titled “JUNE 27-28 CORRECT PENTECOST RAPTURE DAY” (1,449 views, 166 likes, 213 comments). No description, no transcript. The word “CORRECT” frames June 21-22 as the wrong date rather than a failed one. No doctrinal explanation appears in the video. The community assembled the justification in the comments: 726 reversed is 726 (the Strong’s Greek number for ἁρπάζω, harpazo); June 28 is exactly 40 weeks from the September 21, 2025 new moon.

The July 19 exit ramp predicted in “The New Falsification Window” section below was already named in Joshua’s own comment thread before he had addressed Pentecost’s failure. @WeFlySoon2025 (15 likes): “No matter what we will be outta here by July 19th. That is our deadline.” @businessftb (8 likes): “Might as well move it to the day of the final at this point.” The audience had pre-narrated the move; it played out as narrated.

@K_Grande (8 likes), writing in the same thread: “Has anyone else noticed Joshua is no longer giving prophecies, he is giving high watch dates? Looks like he is transitioning to a watchman to keep his followers after the World Cup is awarded. The deceived leading the deceived.”

Christy Williams Deurloo (@Rapture2025Confirmation): No new content since June 20. Her stated deadline — “The physical rapture of the church occurs before June 11, 2026 at God’s perfect timing” — has gone unacknowledged for 13 days. The June 21-22 window, which Campanelli had specifically identified as her next test, has also passed without statement. As of June 24, she and her husband are departing on a camper vacation with no public explanation of either deadline.

June 25 — Trilani justification video; June 27-28 fails; June 29 pivot to July 4-5:

On June 25, Joshua posted a calendar-calculation video to his channel narrated by a collaborator called Trilani (the first collaborator-produced content posted directly to @exodus2025), explaining why June 27-28 is the “correct” Pentecost count. June 27-28 passed without event or acknowledgment. On June 29, Joshua published “4-5 JULY RAPTURE CANCELS THE WORLD CUP_THE EXODUS ENDS” — re-issuing the “World Cup cancels” claim against July 5, with the tournament now 18 days underway. July 1: a second Trilani calculation video now explaining July 4-5 as true Pentecost (368 views, down from 4,177 for the June 25 equivalent). The July 19 exit ramp named in “The New Falsification Window” below remains seeded in comments by community members even as Joshua’s named date has moved past it. July 4–5, 2026

The date Joshua had titled “THE EXODUS ENDS” — the absolute terminus framing applied without variation to every prior deadline — passed without event and without acknowledgment.

What followed was structurally unprecedented in the documented record. Every prior failure since September 23–24, 2025 had produced a pivot video within 48 to 72 hours. The reframe was faster than the failure. July 4–5 broke that pattern: as of July 9, Joshua has not named a successor date. He shared a defender video and a worship song in the intervening days — channel activity, but not a new date.

The “no trophy” redefinition Joshua introduced on June 16 provides the next structural surface: the 2026 FIFA World Cup final is scheduled for July 19, 2026 at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ. Community members have seeded this date in comment threads independent of any Joshua announcement. Whether July 19 produces a named date from Joshua, or whether the silence extends through it, is the current open question.

The one-year anniversary of the original September 23–24, 2025 prediction — September 23–24, 2026 — is the most legible candidate beyond July 19. It was seeded in comment threads as far back as the June 16 Exodus 2.0 video.

July 10, 2026 — “THUS SAYS THE LORD”: The 2018 Origin Claim

Six days after July 4-5 passed, Joshua published “THUS SAYS THE LORD 23/24 SEPTEMBER 2025-16/17 JULY 2026(RAPTURE)” (8,927 views, 591 likes) — his highest-engagement video in months. The video introduced a structural shift: where the May 14 community post had attributed “THERE WILL BE NO WORLD CUP 2026” to a June 2026 direct statement from Jesus, this video traces the same claim to a 2018 encounter in which Jesus told him “There will be no World Cup 2026 — that is the trophy, for life will not be business as usual for those who are left behind.” The statement was always about the trophy; the community post version was an approximation.

The video also introduced a new formula: Jesus told him (in a separate encounter) “The 14th and the 15th will pass. The 16th and the 17th will be the rapture of the church. He did not give me the month.” This is a multi-key formula — Joshua applies it to July 2026. “I am fully convinced the rapture will be on the 16th and the 17th of July 2026. The Exodus journey began on the 23rd and the 24th of September 2025 and ends in a rapture on the 16th and the 17th of July 2026.”

Christy Williams Deurloo returned from vacation on July 11 with a community post linking to this video and explicitly endorsing July 16-17 as the deadline: “In order for the World Cup to be cut short, the 16/17 of July would make sense. The last match of the World Cup is July 19th at 3:00 pm and the trophy is presented shortly after. For there to be no World Cup awarded, we must leave before then.”

July 16–17 passed without event. No acknowledgment.

July 18–19, 2026 — The Trophy Presentation

On July 18, Joshua published ‘“MARK THIS WORDS”. GET READY FOR THE 3RD DAY(17-19 JULY)’ (1,722 views) — reasserting the 2018 vision attribution and expanding the window to July 17–19 under a “3rd Day” framework. The July 16–17 failure is not acknowledged; the date expands to include July 19, the day of the World Cup final.

July 19, 2026: Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in extra time at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ — Ferran Torres scored in the 106th minute. Spain’s second World Cup title (first: 2010). The trophy was co-presented by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and U.S. President Donald Trump, who walked onto the pitch together. Trump was booed by the crowd.

The trophy presentation resolves all three iterations of the original claim — “THERE WILL BE NO WORLD CUP 2026”:

  • The tournament opened June 11 ✓ (falsified the original statement attributed to Jesus)
  • The tournament ran to completion with a winner ✓ (falsified the “cut short” version)
  • The trophy was presented July 19 ✓ (falsifies the June 16 “no trophy” redefinition)

The Trump co-presentation is a footnote worth recording. Christy’s June 28 community post flagged Trump’s protocol-breaking trophy presentation role as prophetically suspicious — “Something seems a bit fishy about the whole thing to me” — and built a pre-deadline scaffold around the possibility that the ceremony might be disrupted. The ceremony was not disrupted. Trump presented the trophy as announced. The “fishy” framing was not activated.

The one-year anniversary of the original September 23–24, 2025 prediction — September 23–24, 2026 — is the most legible remaining candidate for a further pivot. It was seeded in comment threads as far back as the June 16 Exodus 2.0 video.

July 20–21, 2026 — From Redefinition to Immunization

Every prior response to a failed proof point — the calendar shift, the “no trophy” redefinition, the Three Phases classification — worked by relocating what the claim meant, while leaving it in principle checkable against some future event. The July 20–21 response is different in kind: it works to remove the claim from checkability altogether.

July 20 — Christy’s first direct trophy acknowledgment. In a community post (155 likes, her highest engagement of the period), she conceded the plain outcome — “my heart sank a little. Especially when they handed over the trophy!… I am sure, like me, you are confused and disappointed” — while explicitly refusing to reconsider Joshua (“Nope. I think God has a bigger plan… we just don’t know the details, yet”). She introduces the Zedekiah paradox (Ezekiel 12:13 vs. Jeremiah 34:3, reconciled only after the fact) as a general-purpose template: apparent failure can always be recast as not-yet-understood fulfillment, independent of any specific reinterpretation of “World Cup.”

Same day — Joshua breaks his silence by resharing, not speaking. His channel’s first post since July 18 was a reshare of Christy’s post above, captioned with John 10:27 (“His sheep KNOW His Voice”). He ends the longest silence in the record without offering his own account of the failed July 16-19 dates.

July 21 — the World Cup claim itself is unfixed, and the deadline moves to “years.” In “Scripture Boomerangs the Mockers,” Christy floats several unresolved candidates for what “World Cup” meant — the cup of trembling, the cup of abominations, the cup of suffering, other sporting tournaments still to come, or “we’re still in a delay” — rather than settling on one. More consequentially, she relocates the entire falsification standard: the truth will be known “not because of the World Cup, but because years and years and years pass… Jesus doesn’t come back.” This retires the trophy — the last fixed, dated, externally-checkable event in the record — as evidence of anything, and replaces it with a horizon too distant to test in the near term.

The authority argument does the rest. The same video argues only ordained prophets or apostles may pronounce a prophet false, which — if accepted — means no layperson’s observation of any future failure, on any date, could ever count as valid evidence against Joshua or Christy. Combined with the horizon extension, this is the most complete insulation from falsification documented on this site: not a new date, but an argument that no date should be expected to matter. A fourth World Cup reinterpretation is queued but unreleased. Replying to a comment noting that roughly ten more tournaments are also officially named “World Cup” later in 2026, Christy wrote: “I am waiting for confirmation to release what I learned today. It is so brilliantly simple I can’t believe we didn’t realize it until now.” Not yet published as of this writing.

The New Falsification Window

This section was written before June 21-22 arrived; the datestamp is preserved because the predictions it contains have since played out as described.

The “no trophy” redefinition Joshua introduced on June 16 creates a successor falsification ceiling. The original claim — attributed verbatim to Jesus — was that the World Cup would not exist. The revised claim is that “the world cup would not reach the trophy point.” The 2026 FIFA World Cup final is scheduled for July 19, 2026 at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ.

If Pentecost (June 21-22) passes without a rapture, the “no trophy” framing is available as the next exit ramp: the tournament is still running, the final hasn’t happened, and the revised prophecy is technically unresolved under his new definition. This creates a 38-day buffer between Pentecost’s potential failure and the next external event that could falsify the updated version of the claim.

This is the same structural operation made at every prior transition:

  • September 23-24 failed → Julian calendar correction shifts the real date to October 6-7, then 16-17
  • April 4-5 failed → “time is off by 30 days,” true Passover is May 1-2
  • May 14 self-declared deadline failed → Three Phases framework introduced; World Cup named as terminal proof point
  • World Cup opened June 11 → “no World Cup” redefined as “no trophy”; Pentecost classified as Dying Phase

Each transition redefines the proof point rather than acknowledging the failure. The July 19 final is the next available redefinition surface after June 21-22. This was anticipated by the audience before Pentecost arrived: “this June 21-22 dates will pass and joshua will come up with other dates and push it till the finals” — @UrgentTimes-ev8jo, June 11 comment thread.

Historical Context

This is not the first time a fixed external event was used as a prophetic deadline. Harold Camping’s May 21, 2011 prediction was similarly specific and externally verifiable — and produced a documented wave of reinterpretation (“the spiritual rapture already happened”) rather than acknowledgment. The most invested community members almost never dissolve immediately after a falsification event. They reframe.

What makes Joshua’s case distinct: the attributed-to-Jesus framing leaves less interpretive room than a calculated date. A date derived from scripture can be recalculated. A verbatim statement of Jesus cannot be revised without directly contradicting the initial claim.

Christy’s case is distinct in a different direction: she had already introduced the “retroactive cutoff” doctrine — anyone who did not commit before May 1 has permanently forfeited rapture eligibility. June 11’s failure would require her to either acknowledge the doctrine is wrong or introduce a new cutoff mechanism, with each iteration making the underlying system more internally inconsistent.
