The Biggest Channel Has the Smallest Audience
October 13, 2026
October 13 is the last day of the window all three documented channels have been pointing at. It seemed like the right day to ask a plain question: how many people are actually watching?
The figures below were read from YouTube’s public Data API on October 13, 2026, for every public upload on each channel: 625 on Rapture 2025 Confirmation, 74 on Exodus 2025 and 101 on Revelations Prayer Testimonies.
The Headline Numbers
| Christy Deurloo | Joshua Mhlakela | Hlengiwe Mchunu | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Channel | Rapture 2025 Confirmation | Exodus 2025 | Revelations Prayer Testimonies |
| Subscribers | 28,700 | 7,790 | 2,240 |
| Total channel views | 2,101,410 | 646,629 | 230,835 |
| Public uploads | 625 | 74 | 101 |
| Median views per upload | 410 | 7,168 | 1,935 |
| Median, uploads from the last 90 days | 259 | 9,210 | 1,943 |
| Median likes per upload | 24 | 272 | 153 |
| Median comments per upload | 8 | 166 | 35 |
| Uploads with at least 1,000 views | 122 of 625 | 74 of 74 | 68 of 101 |
The median is the middle video: half the channel’s uploads have more views, half have fewer. It is the fairest single description of what happens when one of these channels publishes something.
By subscribers and total views, Christy’s channel is the largest of the three by a wide margin. By what a typical upload draws, it is the smallest by a wide margin. Joshua’s middle video has about 17 times the views of hers. Hlengiwe’s has nearly five times, on a channel with one-thirteenth the subscribers.
Views Against Subscribers
Dividing the median upload’s views by the subscriber count gives a rough measure of how much of a channel’s stated audience turns up.
| Median views per upload | Subscribers | Ratio | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Christy Deurloo | 410 | 28,700 | 1.4% |
| Joshua Mhlakela | 7,168 | 7,790 | 92% |
| Hlengiwe Mchunu | 1,935 | 2,240 | 86% |
This is a ratio, not a headcount. A view is not a subscriber, one person can account for several views, and people who never subscribed also watch. But as a comparison between three channels measured the same way on the same day, the gap is not subtle. Two of the channels draw views on a typical upload roughly equal to their subscriber count. The third draws about one seventieth of it.
Where Christy’s Two Million Views Are
The total on her channel is real. It is also almost entirely one month.
- Her 157 uploads from October 2025 hold 1,751,740 views — 84% of the views on every video she has ever published.
- Her ten most-viewed videos hold 81% of the total. All five videos above 100,000 views were published between October 4 and October 14, 2025.
- Her 348 uploads from 2026 have 184,720 views between them. Joshua’s 35 uploads from 2026 have 327,967.
Those October 2025 videos are the subject of The October 2025 View Anomaly, which documents that the largest of them drew hundreds of thousands of views with almost no likes or comments. Neither of the other two channels has anything like that spike. On Joshua’s channel the ten most-viewed uploads hold 34% of the total; on Hlengiwe’s, 29%. Their views are spread across their catalogues. Hers are not.
Subscriber counts tell the same story from another direction. In May 2026 this site recorded Christy at 28,900 subscribers and Joshua at 7,380. Five months later she is at 28,700 and he is at 7,790.
Month by Month in 2026
Since April all three channels have published in every month, which allows a like-for-like view. Each cell shows the number of uploads that month and their median views as of October 13.
| Month | Christy Deurloo | Joshua Mhlakela | Hlengiwe Mchunu |
|---|---|---|---|
| April | 184 uploads · 265 | 4 uploads · 11,806 | 15 uploads · 2,230 |
| May | 46 · 714 | 8 · 7,235 | 14 · 1,574 |
| June | 6 · 793 | 11 · 6,387 | 18 · 1,663 |
| July | 2 · 830 | 6 · 8,041 | 7 · 478 |
| August | 12 · 244 | 1 · 9,210 | 7 · 842 |
| September | 24 · 235 | 2 · 24,924 | 4 · 3,989 |
| October 1–13 | 6 · 461 | 3 · 8,837 | 2 · 5,510 |
Volume does not close the gap. In April, Christy’s 184 uploads did out-draw the others in total: 76,992 views, against 44,633 for Joshua’s four and 37,465 for Hlengiwe’s fifteen. That is the only month since April where it happened. In September her 24 uploads drew 8,116 views in total. Joshua’s two drew 49,847. Hlengiwe’s four drew 16,030.
September is also the month the October 12–13 date was being built. Joshua’s September 13 video announcing it has 38,337 views, the second most-viewed upload in his channel’s history, behind only the August 2025 short that named September 23–24, 2025.
What This Does and Doesn’t Show
It shows where the audience is. The date-setting in this record originates with Joshua Mhlakela, and by this measure most of the attention sits with him too: fewer than eight thousand subscribers, and a typical upload that draws seven to nine thousand views. Every one of his 74 uploads has passed 1,000 views; the least-watched has 2,273. Hlengiwe Mchunu’s channel’s first upload was in January 2026, and it and already draws several times what Christy’s does per upload.
It shows that the channel with the most output, the most subscribers and the most documented hostility toward critics is, on a typical day, speaking to a few hundred people. That was already the direction of the ecosystem mapping in May. These figures put a number on it.
It does not show how many individual people any of this represents, and it does not measure influence beyond YouTube. Some limits on the method:
- Views accumulate. Older uploads have had longer to collect them, so recent months will rise somewhat. The 90-day medians and the monthly table are there to keep that in view.
- All upload types are counted together. Regular videos, Shorts and livestream recordings are not separated here, and they behave differently.
- Only public uploads are counted. Deleted or private videos are not in the per-video figures, which is why the per-video views do not add up exactly to each channel’s reported total.
- Subscriber counts are rounded by YouTube to three significant figures.
- It is one day. A single reading cannot show how fast any channel is gaining views now.
That last limit is being addressed. Starting October 13, 2026, these figures are recorded daily for every channel in the archive, so future comparisons can show views gained per day rather than totals to date.
